Since many years the Frutiger family has embraced the difficult challenge of proposing diverse culinary concepts for every taste and budget.

The SESFLO, one of the many restaurants created by the Frutiger family proposes Italian and Mediterranean specialties or what they call ‘Des cuisines du Soleil’. With an open kitchen and a nice cosy terrace the discretion of the entrance is quickly forgotten by the nice decor.

The service is very friendly, and I strongly recommend you to reserve as it is a very solicited address…

They propose a wide variety of dishes and the quality of the ingredients is very high. We ordered the L’italie au Sesflo Menu and let the chef run the show.

Simple presentation, excellent taste and texture…

Primo Piatto  Home made gnocchi with poulpe and vongole

Very tasty, I ate it all even though I am not big fan of gnocchi!

Secondo Piatto. Filete de Loup à la méditerranée juste rôti sur sa peau,
fleur de sel et sauce vierge

It is a very healthy choice, the fish was fresh, fresh, fresh… The virgin sauce was very umm ‘virgin’ in its flavour…

Filet Mignon de Pata Negra…

As recently posted in my twitter account (@barbielind) the tittle and look of this dish was quite appealing, unfortunately the sauce used to dress the pork was too simple to accompany such special piece meat, the half moon polenta in the middle of summer time was a bit heavy and at this point with all of the previously eaten, I really could not finish it…

Glace artisanale avec sa soupe aux fruits rouges…

The name I am giving to this dish is totally random, for some reason it slipped my notes; still it was the perfect combination between refreshing and digesting a good way to end a nice lovely dinner and conversation.

In all the Sesflo is a very good place, I have eaten some of its risottos and pastas in previous visits, the wine selection is quite interesting so it is a good option in Geneva. They do also take out and I have heard from friends that is actually quite good.
